Default Stock 5.3 1/4 mile runs

Took the truck to byron for its first runs. Its an 07 classic ecsb with 2wd with a 5.3 and 3.23 gears. Only mod is a vette servo. I was hoping for 15's but oh well. Let me know if my times seem about right. I left off idle the first time and foot braked the second two. It was very consistent tho.

Run#1
60=2.450
1/8=10.475
MPH=68.22
1/4=16.142
MPH=87.42

Run#2
60=2.439
1/8=10.454
MPH=68.16
1/4=16.123
MPH=87.20

Run#3
60=2.431
1/8=10.448
MPH=68.44
1/4=16.100
MPH=87.50

Thanks for any feedback guys

Honestly, that looks about right. I have seen stock 5.3s doing 0-60 in 8+ seconds too.

Anyway, traction good? What was the temp and humidity?

Seems about right.. rcsb trucks with 373 gears are usually down deep in the 15's, some high 14's.. With you being a ec truck and 323's thats about where you should be.. The 23's are killing you imo..

I had great traction all day. I would say it was 75-80 degrees and low humidity. I really think the 3.23's are hurting me. It feels like 1st gear takes forever....lol. Let the modding begin.

I know this isn't the section, but what brand of gears do you recommend? It looks like everybody goes with the tru trac posi on here. What is bad about the stock g80? Thanks

Once you start putting as little power to the 80 it goes boom... Tru trac, yes alot of people including myself run it.. Yukon, richmond are good gear choices

<< Likes Tru Trac goes boom, and sometimes boom-boom if it's skipping of the pavement.

Tru Trac is better than having the one-wheeled squealer.

M 2001 EXCB Z71 with 33" tires ran 10.60's in 1/8th so your numbers look pretty close to average.
