I hold it up around 2500 and just let go of the brake and roll into it. It's hard to do it and not get wheel spin. Only happens every few runs.

I guess that explains the converter selection, yea you need some DR's and a good diff and launch that thing hard to some easy 12s. I liked my eaton clutch type diff fwiw.
Got cal-tracs or anything? surprising the g80 lasted as long as it did, you must be easy on it..lol
