But a cammed 5.3 vs. a 6.0 on juice spraying at 2800 rpm off the line. Should make lot's of torque that I would have thought would make up for the <500 lb difference probably.

Wow talk about cutting the fat. 4k lbs in a truck is awesome. Congrats on get the 12s. You might be surprised how much lighter it could get though. There is a local boy in Mesa, AZ with a striped down truck that has got the lightest full size truck I have ever seen. 2003 RCSB 5.3 228r cam 4k stall and weighs in at just 3750 with him in it. Thing is nasty for sure. Guy drives it every day too. Wouldn't come close to passing safety or emissions in most states, but passes at the track and AZ is very friendly emissions wise. No carpet, No AC, crank windows, etc. good luck with your build I bet its got lots more in it.

 

Ok so i am finally installing tbss intake 90mm tb and bigger injectors will retune and go back out to track see what she does. Play with the caltracs and suspension a little also. If I get close to mid 12's nitrous is jext on the list but we will see.
