it was quite a bit warmer than I expected...I was glad to have the new FMIC

traction was definitely an issue I had Sunday even with the DR...he had changed out to slicks on that run...I'm still debating on whether to try the spring clamps I bought or just go ahead and put on the CalTracs I have...

need to lose a few pounds...off the truck too...

there I go again...must remember...make horsepower...not excuses!

I was only getting 7#'s of boost compared to normal 10+...
and was running pig rich...
was scared to lean it out w/o knowing why the boost was off...glad we didn't...next couple of runs boosted 10+...could've gone boom...
gotta get a new by-pass valve...

damn!
I'm full of excuses, huh? full of sumpin'...

Al, you need to go to a real slick and you will not have any tracton issues.

Curt's truck ran fine. He just needs to do a burn out and brake stall to build some boost off the line. He left the line like grandma out on a sunday drive.

Yeah, I saw the video and there was no burnout and couldn't tell much about the brake stall. He's buying my 2-step and i'm carrying it to him tomorrow.

When I get off my butty schedule in a month or so i'll be able to come down to steel and play some too.

That was Heath. I was there that day also and ran a 14.6 in street trim in the sliver quad cab. My previous best was a 14.2, it was a bad day at the track. He was NA, no spray. The black quadcab that ran a 13.8 was also NA with stock heads and a 6.1 cam.

That's me in the dodge. I didn't have any spray, I thought I told you that I was cam only in the staging lanes. How often do you go to that track?? I run there and at silver dollar some times. Let me know when you have the boost/ A/F problems straightend out and we can go again. I had ran a 13.50 on my street tires at silver dollar in better weather, and with my truck weighing in at 4830, sunday with the weather all I could get on my 20's was a 13.71 at around 4650 lbs. Then I stuck the drag radials on there and went 13.32@101.74. When the weather cools back off I should be dipping down in the 12's.
I live in Canton, Ga by the way. Do you ever go up to paradise dragstrip in Calhoun??

Hey Heath...welcome to pt.net!
I go whenever I can...been wanting to go up to Calhoun, haven't made it yet...I wanted to go on a Thursday night but it seems from their website that they only do handflagged starts w/ no lights, times or slips...do you know?
The spray assumption was based on the crew-cab Hemi I ran at SDR a month ago...I beat him w/ my 2nd best time of the day...then later in the day after I had stopped running, he ran a 13.1 on spray...
I ended up w/ a best of 13.59...
I'll let you know when I get it worked out...should be a good race...alot closer than Sunday...your truck is strollin' though...
Hey...what was your trap speed?
