sweet. on tech there are write up's where they are finding HP left in bone stock LS1's by just going from a 1 3/4 primary to a 1 7/8.

i figure once someone posts up how the texas speed 1 7/8 camaro header fits the truck that will replace the pacesetters for alot of trucks on here.

My plans are the stepped Kooks 1-7/8" as Skeet told me to, elec water pump, vaccum pump and fuel cell so I can run exhaust straight back and balance the weight from the driver and gas tank, both on the drivers side. Hope to pick up some 40 rwhp at least.

flaco told me about this along time ago, thats why i have them,i got his old set, he mentioned how much horsepower was gained from them and i really needed them, just glad i had the chance to get them from him at the time my swap was going on , on a stock setup it wouldnt be feasable unless you have BIG plans in the works, then when qst's site started quik made more since when he talked about it, once you start providing horsepower the air has to get out, ( whats back pressure ) once you reach a certain level back pressure becomes obsolete and thus we need to get the air out ASAP it all has to do with timing events also from the cam which also lift becomes a factor and how the splits are.. mind you i lost a little down low when we changed to the kooks, BUT i knew i would go FAST and in hopes to gain it back, which worked out really well..

bob you have tons of horsepower left in your setup, finish your setup and finish it the right way that fugging motor needs to breathe and breathe in big way, do you have a 4" CAI? if not get one, a thin wall pvc pipe works well .) , i'll be straight piping my driver side really soon probably this week, gotta get my truck to Ben so he can change out my springs again and in hope of dialing the 4 link in come friday once the suspension is said and done, i'll have a ram air built for the truck from Taylor sheetmetal, i dont want any under hood air going through my intake, once thats done then i'lll be talking to the cam dogs on a new cam then we'll see what evilred will do, i do have a nitrous kit but not set on using it just yet, it might not be until next year who knows just aint ready yet not until i know i have exhausted every option i have NA. i am expecting a 11 flat pass sooner or later

stew, your setup is gonna be a whole new monster once its all said and done, youre very close dont stop now

fuel cell is weight reduction, if you drop a tenth then you did something, its needed and it works, i wont get into all my weight factors .. our trucks are heavy we need them light to compete

Yeah, I have the 4" CAI wrapped in black Gorilla duct tape and 3 layers of pipe insulation. No heat effects my air. It is ugly but I am after functional
