I am surprised it did not break up going down the track at that low timing. Mine runs like complete crap on anything below 10*.
It wasnt actually the lanes i was waiting in. It was the line to actually get into the faculity they had us drive through a huge field, dirt road, etc before getting in. Once i actually got into the tech area it was pretty quick. Most people were there to party, drink, etc. I never popped the hood. Iats were 148* at the start of the run but i think ive got this S475 maxed out. At 19-20 psi its blowing a lot of hot air.

Wow! Awesome time. I gotta assume it would be a night and day difference had everything worked in your favor. Did it feel 'slow'?? I can usually tell if it's not running like it should and that could be a difference of only a couple-5 degrees timing.

It felt like an absolute monster off the line. I couldn't believe it dead hooked. I reviewed the log, I left at 3793 rpm and 5.3 psi with 13* timing. Timing fell to 5.5* at 29 mph and was like that for the remainder of the run. I had no clue it fell on its face because this was the first time I ran it down the 1/4 mile with the turbo. 8 psi on the 1/8th though "felt" slow however.

I'm really wanting to change this turbo out for an S480, but on an optimal run, this S475 plenty to get my 10 second run.

I'm glad to see that 15" swap worked out for you. I wish I had the tq off the line to pull a 1.60 sixty foot like that. Did you ever figure out what the pop was at the end of the run?

No pics really. It's a dropped pewter extended cab with an HD hood, nothing out of the ordinary. I was hoping someone got a video of the run.

I made some changes in the tune. I increased the timing to 27-28* from basically idle up to 3000 whereas it was previously 19*. With that change and brake boosting up to 3700 rpm, I went from a 2.1 60' off idle to 1.63'. I bet I can get this thing to leave on more boost. I got kind of screwed at the track because the guy I was racing lined up past the tree and didnt know what was going on. Meanwhile I was spooling, had to stop and then start back up quickly.

The noise at the end of the run was most likely a detonation event, probably from the absurd low timing. Unfortunately, I was never able to get my wideband cable hooked up to the EFI live so I dont know what my fueling was. I'm still not sure if the motor is hurt or not I need to take it WOT and see if it seems okay. I was just glad to make it home.

Holy moly, that log is aweful! What fuel is the afr scaled for? Are you locking the converter at the top of 3rd or shifting to OD? Whatever caused the rpm dip seems to have triggered the KR and dropped timing to a negative value. That probably loaded the exhaust with fuel and was the 'pop' you heard.

Very impressive time for such a terrible log. I am curious to see what it does not heatsoaked and running full timing.

It's tuned for E48 fuel. My fuel system wont support E85 @ 20 psi. What I really need is a fuel cell, external fuel pump, big lines, aftermarket rails, and 2000cc injectors. I'm teetering on the edge of this thing not being a street truck anymore though, at least in my view. I want to click off a 10 then drive home with the AC blasting.

Converter isn't tuned to lock nor is the trans tuned to shift into 4th @ WOT.

Looking at the log, the RPM drop and the KR event were simultaneous so I'm not sure which triggered the other. I'm guessing the KR came first, then the decreased power decreased converter slip.

I'm going to take the truck back to the 1/4th this Friday night and go all out for the 10 second slip. If I can brake boost up to about 8 psi or more I bet this sucker will go 1.5x on the 60'. The 4.10s seem to be working.
