Hell I read all your post about the swap, and figured being I had a 6.0 & better flowing heads it would wake it up. I was wrong.. It does pull better on top end, but it hurt me where it counts. My going to recam it and try & get the best out of it.

There are plenty of people running great times on the stock truck intakes and 78mm TB's

I'll stick with what i got, no sense to change something that works!

Mine cam was design to work with the truck style intake. My new cam is design to work with the bigger intake system. Even though my truck ran close to the same, I feel like I've maxed the cam out & my other tought is my headers. I will be changing them also.

I really think it's in the combo/setup. GM didn't put this intakes on the 5.3 with the 243's to cut the hp back..

This intake was desiged to work with the ls6 heads a seems to do real well for those that run the ls6 heads on there truck, alot of peaple put them on a stock 5.3 head and yes its going to kill the torque a bit with a bigger intake but I dont think theres an intake out there that will make more torque then the truck intake under 4000 rpm. Intakes change the power band around alot on an engine, peaple change up there cams all the time making only small changes trying to get there power band were they want it and think nothing of the intake. When i put my pro flow intake on mine from the truck intake it shifted my hole power band up 1000 rpm. Went from needing a 4k stall to a 5k and that wasnt going to work so i went to an ls1 bottem end bigger heads and it put me back were I started just more power.

I think it has to do with the heads and intake as a combo. I would like to see someone go to a truck intake on an 07 +. I don't see why GM would put a larger induction setup and the best cathedral port head on for no reason.
