as for your "air gap mod", im pretty sure that padding is there to keep water from getting on your knock sensors and giving false readings/ruining them

How much water gets on your intake?

It makes sense to me that they are there for quicker warm up in winter months. But what your saying does make sense but i dont think there is a problem with getting water that high up on the engine. I dont wash my motor off, thats usually a big no no.

well first I had a 44 jet in and it ran a 10.00. Guy didnt fill it right or something. The bottle weighs 15.6lbs empty, he filled it and couldnt get it to take anymore and it only weighed 18.8lbs. Iced it and everything. 3 lbs of nitrous! Pressure was only 750 or so when i started the night. It felt like it was working fine but I was thinking it would do better than that as it ran a 10.15 without it. I know the shot wasnt near what it was supposed to be. I then put a 52 (i think) which should have been 100 shot. It kept freezing the MAF as soon as I sprayed it.

So basically I ran a 10.00 with nearly no nitrous.....No progress.

Just as well because my "races" all pussied out. Although I did get asked by a lightening guy what kinda cam I had and why did it sound so bad ***. HAHA I said all its got is e-fans and a CAI, and my very own half gutted flowmaster. I tree'd him bad but of course he pulled harder and ran a 9.19 to my 10.20. ouchy

im sure this is sarcastic but honestly why wouldnt it help a very small amount? Dont people mod their stuff with aftermarket parts to get cooler air into their engines? Same theory. allow airt to flow under intake runners...in theory cooling intake and allowing cooler air into your engine.

With the TB bypass and air-gap mos the throttle resonce is much better. i can say that for a fact. Yeah its still slow but whatever

I'm with you bro! I just did a head swap so I was like, how about I leave them 2 things out. Cooler air does make a big difference!

I got ya. I figured the same thing once i read about it it just made sense. Granted I didnt have a heads cam swap to do so I noticed a tiny gain from it and was able to relate that to my two changes. Lol Yours, im sure, was somewhat stronger....because of the air gap...of course.
