Default New best for Silverado SS 13.19@101mph - Milan, MI

The weather was great. Sunny and temps were right at 50degrees. Perfect day. It was packed and I only got to make two runs. I got there late, at about 2pm, they only ran from 11am - 5pm.

I ran Full Street Trim with zero track prep. Drove to the track, paid, tech'd, and staged. This was with my fiberglass bed cover on, spare tire in, 1/2 tank of fuel, etc.

1st Run

RT - .8907
60ft - 1.8493
330ft - 5.3692
1/8 ET - 8.3454
1/8 MPH - NA (I didnt get a MPH for some reason in the left lane. I dont think it was working. Oh well.)
1000' ET - 10.9603
1000' MPH - 92.77
1/4 ET - 13.1914
1/4 MPH - 101.05

2nd Run

RT - .5179
60ft - 1.8779
330ft - 5.4280
1/8 ET - 8.4201
1/8 MPH - 81.93
1000' ET - 11.0461
1000' MPH - 93.95
1/4 ET - 13.2940
1/4 MPH - 100.23

Not to sure why it slowed down a tenth, but thats not too bad. I only would be worried if there was 2-3 tenths difference or more.

Here is the video of my 13.191 run against a 1995 Z28 auto with LT1, 3.23 gears, 3200 converter, tune, and exhaust. He ran a 13.475. My reaction times were slow. Its been a while and I just wanted times. Sorry about the video quality. My 60yr old father video taped everything so I could stay in the staging lanes to keep moving up. I didnt get a vid of my second run because my dad thought he was recording, but apparently wasnt. Too bad to, it was against an 95ish Rx7 turbo and he ran an 11.7, blew my doors off. Anyways, he tried and I appreciated him tagging along. He had a good time. Also, a couple of quick G8 GT's. One ran a 12.48 and the other went 12.7 something. I think they both had at least a cam, someone told me the red one had heads and cam, not sure.

I also have some vids of a Dodge Ram Hemi, and a couple of L's. I will get them uploaded to youtube in the next couple of days.

Congrats, good to see you getting it out there. It's good to go to the track and have no problems. Looks like it went smooth for you. Some cool down time, icing the blower, and a bit of weight reduction would do a good thing for you. Any traction issue's?

Thanks Zippy. Your tune is spot on I think. I dont think there is much more ot squeeze from the tune. I didnt do any weight reduction because I like to run em as they are on the street. If I had just RWD, I might have considered a set of DR's, but thats probably it. The AWD hooked flawlessly and I had little to no wheel spin. Track prep was really good I thought.

I'm debating on putting on my 2.9" pulley I have and giving that a go. I'm worried about the motor and trans though. I dont want to have to buy new injectors and I'm not sure if I will be over 100% IDC with running the lower pulley, requiring more fuel. I dont want to be running at 105% or 110% IDC.

You have a 6.0 with a return style fuel rail and magnacharger intank pump? you should be fine if you have the stock 42# injectors supplied witht the kit.

I have a 2003 6.0L with the return style system, but I only have the inline fuel pump booster from magnacharger. I need to check my logs and see where my IDC's are at now and have zippy tell me if he thinks my IDC's will go over 100% with the 2.9" pulley. I plan to add a cam at the end of summer, which will definetly require larger injectors, so it might just be best to wait until then. I dont want to push it for a couple of tenths and end up having to rebuild.

You should be good since you have a return system. That's a pretty good pass for your boost level now that I think of it. Stick that pulley on there and shoot me a log. We'll make some adjustments and see how it goes.
