So i have my eye on a 1998 dakota 4x4 5 speed ext cab short box with 5.2 liter.

I have a 1996 F-150 5.8 auto 4x4. I am trying to figure which truck would be easier to make go fast.

with all the mustang aftermarket my mind is saying stay with the f-150 but with the dakota being lighter and a 5 speed my other side of my brain is going DO IT!!!.

advice?

My truck has a new trans less miles and well... its a 351w... im a set of heads and a decent set of pistons from having a stout truck...

and I love the 1996 body style... I also have a truck with Mass air that can be tuned easily with SCT. but apparently you cna tune the dodges with SCT now as well.
