Its getting better but not near where it should be.

On our GTG last month I had lots of trans problems throwing it into limp mode and I only had 2nd and 3rd gear, Leaving in 2nd, and only running about 60-70% throttle it went something like 13.8 @ 102... not happy with it at all but it made it down the track and drove home.

figured out some of the trans issue and got all forward gears running so I decided to go back... who needs reverse LOL

still about the same throttle, about 8psi, shifting very early (~5500RPM) and leaving very soft out of the hole (2+ sec 60fts) it went 12.88 @ 108.9. The trans was starting to slip, get hot, and just act crazy in general. I'm overall satisfied given the circumstances and confident that solid 11's will happen in the heat once its got a healthy trans in it and I can actually run the thing. Not to mention theres still a good bit of engine tuning left to do. (10.8AFR and 17deg WOT)

the funniest part is, the fastest run was probably the "ugliest" I was all over the track and out of the groove, I probably need to run more than 9-10psi in the Hoosiers

What is going on with the tranny?

 

slipping, hitting the limiter, overheating, just bad juju in general.. Its getting replaced. not to mention reverse is nonexistent

Your guestimates usually aren't too far off, and like I said I can see a full second shaved off that 12.88 time when it's 100%

 

yep, we'll see... I'd like to run solid mid 11's in the heat, then watch the times fall with the cold air...

 

Get your tranny issues taken care of and that truck is gonna roll.
