Naw, that's the little rubber ring that the tube fits into.

BTW, thanks to DirtTrackRacer81 for this amazing tip. No impact wrench, no sticking screwdrivers into the flexplate, no wedging a bar into the pulley and damaging it, no bullshit. An 8 year old crank bolt came out within 2 seconds.


BTW, I just realized I f'd up. I forgot to get the 3 arm pulley puller from AutoZone So I think this is as far as I'm going to get today.

All you do is put the ratchet on the pulley bolt where the handle is on the frame and turn the engine for a second.

Wow...that would do it too, pull the fuel pump fuse but...

hmm, got the puller from autozone, apparently it's too weak to get the pulley off. The center bolt is just bending.

Did I miss somethin? What's the tip? Is it if your a member of the 6L only club tip?

What are you using to go it the bolt hole? I used a 6" extension. Also there's 2 places to grab the pulley, you have to play with the right size extension to get it off all they way. Also the crank bolt works for awhile too.

Thanks DLT. :thubm: I looked at that, musta missed it. Just woke up. Why not use an impact if it's that stubborn? Impact blows work wonders.
