I'm curious what kind of times you guys are running on stock 60E's?

Back when i first started modding my truck people told me the stock trans was going to blow with simple bolt ons like headers. Then I did a 3200 stall and people said I was crazy for not building the trans at the same time. I put in a shift kit and vette servo at the same time and it held up just fine.

Almost a year ago I put a whipple on the truck and made probably over 30 passes on it running 13.1-13.2 with no problems.

Now a month or two ago i put a front mount turbo on my truck and ran a best of 12.76 launching at 7 psi with several passes in the high 12s and still running good.

I want to turn my boost up a little more so how much further do you guys think i can take it? Anyone running 11s on a stock 60E?

I know that eventually ill have to replace it with an 80e.

 

It will last as long as it lasts.

 

pretty much what scott said. You're on borrowed time. You can put some power through them but they won't last long. Mine with simple bolt ons lasted a few months.

My stock trans has 70,000+ miles, has been through nitrous, turbo, 7k rpm shifts and is still goin with nothing more than a corvette servo....But yeah, they're kind of luck of draw

fastes it ever went at the track was 12.86. I bought a better trans and now dirt_track_racer_81 is driving around on my stock trans. Mind you, those are 70k HARD miles. I picked the truck up from the dealership with 22miles on it, drove it straight to the dyno shop, tuned it...Took it home, put a corvette servo in it, drove 650 miles, put the nitrous kit on it...put who knows how many bottles through it shifting at 6800-7k rpm...took the nitrous off, built a turbo kit etc etc...lol the trans has outlived 3 motors

 

im in a full weight CCSB stock 60e with billet servos only and of course a 3600 converter.


went 12.7 @ 104 1.7 60' spinning on M&H DRs.
i have just a cam, stock intake, stock port heads only milled 20 thousandths.

 

mine last 165,000 miles and over 250 passes with tune, full bolt ons, and then i lost 3-4 clutch pack, but went through 3 rear ends haha

 

I've got 98k on mine with full bolt ons and ran 30 times this year...dezert1500 has almost 120k and runs 12.7 both on stock 60e
