That is what I have seen GT's run at my local track...

 

He embarrassed a LS1 up to 100mph...
I wish mine was running...

mustangs are a joke i think . my friend nicole has a 04 auto stock . her ex ran 15.8 ?? i got in it ran 14.8 all night . the trick is u gotta alm ost sit there and brunout on the line because if not it bogs down and dont pick up till like after the 330 lol . i finally got a 2.20 out of it . there ok i guess but why didnt ford step it up , stock camaros or over second faster then them and around same price

 

That is why I am wondering if I got sprayed...I raced a mostly stock (lid and tune) auto trans am ls1 car and put four lengths on him. We raced in the same spot on two different days. I raced the mustang and he was at my door when I left and never really moved. I just dont see an LS1 getting killed out of the hole and then the next day just staying with a mustang. I did not spin either time shifted at the same time. I just think i got conned. Luck I did not have any money on the run!

 

this is where i get confused. My 95 gt ran a 15.4 stock, my 99 gt 5-speed ran a 14.1 stock and a 13.6 with full exhaust and underdrive pullies, my 05 mustang auto ran a 13.6 stock and a 13.2 with off-road x-pipe and predator tuner. Most all of the 99-04 gts I have seen at the track were in the 13's lightly modded. The 99-04 autos were alot slower than the manuals.

 

13.6 in my 99gt was right in line with all the camaros of that time. ss camaros seemed to run 13.0's.

 

i cant believe my buddys 88 i think 5.0 with just 3.73s , cat back and 18's ran 14.5 i was shocked !!

 

Exactly how many stock '04 F-bodies are there available to compare to that stock '04 Mustang?

I love the LSx cars. My next DD will likely be one. But you guys are blaming some slow times on the cars and not the drivers. Case in point, one of my friends had a '99 WS6. I met him at the track when he was running mid 14s in the car. A few pointers later and he was running mid 13s. At the same time, I've seen stock 13.0s from a properly driven M6 '98 Z. A 13.6x@103 from a properly driven '99 GT with air filter removed, and a 13.9@98 from a properly driven '02 GT auto 'vert.

Some of you guys are either racing in Denver or making it a point to only mention the worst driver that you've ever seen.

You can never discount the driver part of the equation...

 

then theres something wrong with the girls mustang i drove because i got money unless better weather theres no getting better then a 14.8 . along with 2 other auto gt guys i know best was 14.8 and the other 15.0 . its taken them a lot money for one of them to run a 13.4 now . its not worth arguing but those 4.6 are dogs .
