From Gateway International Raceway Drag Racing Manager Rich Schaefer at 1:45 PM on August 9th, 2010:
As of 1:30 pm, various weather outlets are issuing Tuesday forecasts of 100 degrees. In accordance with Gateway Raceway policies, this forces an automatic cancellation of tomorrow night’s drag racing event. The Tuesday Night AAA Drags, Street Car Shootout Series, and BIG St. Charles Quick Bike Shootout event will be rescheduled for Thursday, August 12th. However, please be aware that the Thursday forecast also calls for extreme heat. A decision will be made on Wednesday afternoon regarding the Thursday night event. Since Saturday is the last points event of the 2010 Championship Bracket Series, our intent is to run the Saturday event.
