what was your reaction and 1/8 mile time when you ran those times?

 

it was a 2.4 60 i forgot 8th though

 

i used to launch my dakota 4X4 in 4wd then shift into 2wd on the fly. seemed to net me the best launches then you also dont have that drag on the top end of the track to deal with.

 

What does his reaction time have to do with it? It doesn't start until you move...

 

 

2.4 60 is slow as *****...gears, stall, & 4wd launch should get you moving nicely out of the hole.

 

Even with gears and a stall he shouldn't need to use 4wd at the dragstrip. Come on guys, even with a few more mods he's only going to be in the 14's. That's hardly needing 4wd to launch.

 

thats true. i didnt need to use 4X4 on mine until i put the kenne bell on.

 

im with you on this one im in the 13s and spray out of the hole and i dont use my 4 wheel drive to launch. im goin to try it this friday night to see if i can get my 60ft times down a bit but i never had to big of a problem with spinning now second gear thats a different story hit second and spins like crazy lol

 

yea my truck is slow as **** off the line but it picks up after around 30.
