Default Does this sound about right???

I ran a 14.8 on my 08 Ext Cab 5.3 with 22's on 305/40 nitto tires which is just a bit over a 31" height. stock 3.73 gears, K&N cai, long tubes cat less, pulley, tune. Does that sound about right?

I'd get a higher stalling torque converter. My 224/224 cam really needed an ss3600 to wake it up.

I've had a 3000 stalling torque converter and a 3600 stalling torque converter. One was an sstb3200(rated at 3200 behind an ls2) and my current ss3600. They drove around town exactly the same, just one was much more fun.

I think right now you have a mismatched combo. Go with a smaller cam if you are afraid of a higher stalling torque converter. I think you're worry is unnecessary though. Just an opinion.

Go with a reputable company to build the converter tight and you won't have any problems going over 3000. I want a 3400-3600 circle d myself.
The 3000 is great but just not the same.
