I did a coil-over conversion on my 2006. I currently have it setup with the ridetech control arms but they are very heavy and way over built for what I'm trying to do. I'll probably run them, but at some point I'm just gonna fabricate my own to drop additional weight. This conversion and the conversion to the Strange brakes shaved a ton of weight off the front. Here are some pics:

2wd or 4x4? Torsion bars or coils? I'm running coil overs on my 4x4. The ride quality at this height is amazing compared to the torsion bars. I was running DJM upper and lower arms and stock spindles. Ride quality sucked and the offset bushings djm sold wouldn't hold alignment. I bought the coilover mounts from Atomic and a set of QA1s. Would never go back.

One thing to note, since this kit was designed off a 2008 chassis, when installed on a 99-2007 this hub actually pushes the wheel out about .600". So one of two things has to happen for that application to get the wheel back under the fender. Either a custom backspace wheel has to be made to bring the wheel back under the fender, or in my case I milled .600" off the face of the splindle and caliper brackets. While that step was not anticipated, it actually turned out being a good thing as I was able to cut nearly 15 lbs. of material off these heavy *** spindles. If you look close, cutting this much off the face of the spindle removes enough material to actually get a a good lightening hole at the bottom of the spindle as well. The spindles on these trucks is so ******* beefy, I'm not worried at all about the lightening process being an issue as far as durability. However it should be noted my truck is a race truck so the front end components do not see the stress of a daily driver.
Overall, just the brake conversion alone dropped close to 90 lbs off the front end which is 100% awesome.
I've mentioned it before and like I said above, I can get him to do another run of these if we can get enough commitment. It just isn't a real profitable kit even priced at $1200. I think that's what he was selling them for. Plus the 99-07 guys have to have the spindles machined which I can do for $600. Most guys aren't interested in a $2000 dollar bill for a front drag brake set up. It is a small market.
Here is a close up shot of the spindles after modificattion:
Here is a pic of the aluminum had floater rotors (the lightest ones they have) and the aluminum calipers:
