I am building my truck into a strip-only vehicle so I am looking to reduce the weight of my front end. I want a light weight carbon fiber or fiber glass hood, fenders, drive shaft, and maybe bed. I am already taking out the inner fender wells but I am looking for somewhere that will do the body panels. I just read at VFN that carbon cloth is not easily available so I am open to other light weight options. Thanks in advance for the information.

You're going to be hard pressed to get anything made out of CF from anyone. The gov't and military is sucking it all up. Your best bet is to go for fiberglass, because I don't see good CF being available anytime soon. I'm not even sure VFN makes anything for our trucks as it is.

 

they don't. I was told to check out their site by a member from tech. Yea I have come to understand that CF is being sucked dry so I am going with fiber glass. I have found quite a few places that makes fiberglass hoods, fenders, etc...

 

Mr. Marine seems to do good fiberglasswork. maybe get intouch with him and see what you two can come up with
