I say stock shortblock. Yall are missing the point IMO. With a set of heads it is still naturally aspirated right? Screw the longblock bs. I would say as long as there isnt a power adder, NA is NA in my book.

Yes they can, I just started this thread to know about what would be considered "legit" for a cam only 5.3 title. I'm down with having both a "Cam Only" and a "N/A 5.3" title. To be honest Tan327 is going for the "Cam Only" record and I just wanted to know what we could and could not to do his truck to get it there. I would like to see different titles for different levels (6.0L NA, 6.0L Power Adder, 6.0L Cam only, Stroker Motor NA, Stroker Motor Power Adder etc.) I know this would be difficult to keep up with though and the 5.3 title is the best place to start since it is the original engine in most of the trucks.

 

i think blacksheep and parish have the stroker motor poweradder locked down

 

For now....until somebody else man's up and takes it.....I like most everyone on here, but I don't see any thing saying that their records can't be repeated or broken. Parish's setup is awesome to say the least, and Blacksheep's is equally or even more impressive because he's only using 1 power adder and running a 2wd. I take nothing away from them and mean no dispespect towards them or anyone else. Right now V8 and Bluecajun own the 5.3 cam only class, but I am helping Tan327 build his up so we can (hopefully) go take it. I don't mean any disrespect or anything, it's just good competetive fun. That's why I think a set of Titles would be good, it would give a lot of people a goal to shoot for. Just my opinion.

I ment to say regular cab and Extended cab. I just didnt think when i typed it.

 

rhino79 i've allways said there would be or will be someone faster or quicker than mine or bluecajun5.3, there building stock 5.3 now with what 345 hp, thats better flowing heads right there lol

give it time and a N/A cam only 5.3 will be in the mid to low 11's, not mine but soon there will be.

 

Yeah I know, I am not trying to **** anyone off, It's definitely nothing personal, It's just that you 2 are the men to beat and my buddy Tan327 approached me with this goal in mind and I said lets go for it. If it weren't for you guys what would we have to shoot for......hopefully it can be settled heads up at the Nov 11 meet.
