How many have beaten trailered cares at the track? I enjoy this far more than any street races. The look on their face is priceless compared to the look on my face.

 

I drove my Dakota to the big "Mopars at the Strip" race in Vegas (from Phoenix). I thoroughly enjoyed outrunning a lettered/trailered Hemi 'Cuda racecar down the track and getting to listen to the announcer's running commentary over the radio while doing it! When I drove back to the pits my truck got mobbed! (that was a supreme hilight of the weekend) I got another "thrill" out of the same guy on the way home. Going up the grade heading to the dam is a big line of cars. They're all stuck behind this same guy trailering his 'Cuda home. I pulled out and passed a bunch of the cars and was at about a buck-twenty by the time I blew past his tow rig. As I look in the mirror to get back into the lane the guy sends me a "salute"! To this day I'm not sure if he was just waving G'bye or telling me I'm #1! LOL

Yes! Whooping trailered and lettered racecars is almost as much fun as killing a Corvette on the freeway! (Of course, that freeway thing is all hypothetical. I would never condone exceeding the legal posted speed limit - let alone any type of "speed contest")

What kind of times are you running with your trucks Duner?

 

High 11's for the black one
Low 12's for the white one

The funny thing is they both run about the same mph and if the times are corrected back to sea-level (which I'll never see here) they both come out at about 11.10 @ 123-124 mph. Density altitude sucks!

Nice job Duner. I like the Dakotas. They are good looking trucks.
