Default Back to the track

Well 2 weeks ago truck ran a 11.9 at 114 with a 1.80 60ft non-boost launch. Went back to work on lauch/building boost. I was able to get it down to a 1.74 60ft, leaving off the 2 step at 2600, but still no boost built. Truck was either traction limited or shift flaring its *** off. Results vary, just depended on spinning at the top of 1st, how hard it hit the limiter on 2nd, and my shift flare in going to 3rd. most runs i let out a couple time atleast. and you can hear it in the vids.Truck is put away, its getting the 80e swap, converter, better brakes, and a bigger fuel pump. Would like to go from the 10.5lbs im seeing now to a honest 14 psi. I did run my best 8th mile of 7.63 at 91, but the shift later on hurt the run.

I enjoy seeing your trucks performance as my setup will be very close to yours. I hope you get everything lined out and get some solid 11s.

Thanks man, I think it will trap 116 when it shifts right.

Nothing wrong with that! I'm shooting for 15-16 psi. Hopefully my Lil 70mm will support that before being maxed out. 93 octane, meth, 3600 stall, 80e, & 4.30s. I don't know what to expect on the track. Never had a boosted truck and don't know anybody with one either.

Man oh man... considering all the difficulties you and this truck are consistent as hell.

It must feel strong.

Thanks, its funny how consistent it actually was, I started out with the higher 60ft times, but I ended up doing a longer burnout and it brought it down. my 12.3 pass had the worst 60 i believe, if i would have had the 1.74 on that run it would have been 11.7 or so. it does feel strong, just the shifting errors really takes it away. Im crossing the traps right now at 5300 at 113-114 mph, on the logs im already hitting 120ish before i let out. it really does pull well once it actually shifts to 3rd and in the higher rpms. I really dont want to run a smaller tire to cross at a higher rpm though. I will get this 80e swap done and see where i stand, i may have to go to a lower gear.
