Default Back to the 1/4 mile

Finally went to the 1/4 for the first time in a few years.*
Just wanted to see what it would do before the turbo goodness starts happening.

First pass was a wicked 15.2@94 2.3 60'!!
Haha. Lil slower than i was expecting but oh well.*

2nd pass was on a 75 shot.*
The kit come on just a lil before i was ready so there was quite a bunch of tire spinage. 14.6@101 *2.6 60'

Decided to try spraying it bout at the 60'.*
13.8@103 2.28 60'

Remembered that i had pulled a trailer last week and let my tire pressure down from 45 to 28
Turned the ranchos down to 0 and put 20# air in the helper bags.*

Scan looked good so i pulled 2* timing out and went to a 125 shot.*
13.5@103 2.1 60'

Hot lap it and ran a 13.3@104 2.06 60'

Swapped the nitrous jet out from a .057 to a .062 since it was rich. So now on the 150 shot it did a 13.2@105 2.05*
I sprayed at 5mph and it hooked, so had to try it again.*
13.1@106 2.05

Not to shabby considering i was on 30.5" hankook all terrains.*
It sounded good too, i did a 4" intake and put the filter down below where the stock air box was. Then welded in the magnaflow i was runnin with the old turbo setup.*

Now its turbo time!

I'm kind of impressed at how much time you dropped with just the 75 shot, given your circumstances. Don't you also love how you can just hot lap a nearly stock LS, with 150 shot, and not hurt a thing? Ahhh, thank you GM. I'm in for the turbo build.

Stock converter? Damn thing is a heavy beast. I'm embarrased to say it but I ran a 14.7 @ 97 recently (da was 4600). You just gotta overpower the darn thing to get it to come out of the hole. Think my 60' was around 2.38 or so.

In for the turbo build.

Yea the stock converter is a killer. But it moves pretty good on top end.
Was shifting it at 6200 on motor and 6000 on the 75 shot, and 5600 on the 125 and 150.

Yea its a heavy pig for sure. Its a huge difference in sound when the kit hits. Ha no hiding that!

Yea im glad, especially just mixing jets. I had a shotgun shell full and picked the closest ones. AFR was perfect on the 75 shot. But on the 150 shot it was in the high 10s low 11s.

I was runnin my 87 oct tune, with 93 oct and pulled 2* out for the 150 shot.
The -6 feed line didnt help matters either with no purge so i had to do a mini burnout to clear the line. It could have gone 12s on the right jet mix, and a consistent bottle pressure. But oh well it was fun.

I looked at my logs and it shows i got on the kit at 10-12mph,, so if i could have hit it off idle and hooked with the right AFR, i bet it would have gone 12.8s.
