Where are you shifting at? I calculated 127mph at 7k with 4.56 gears and a 28" tire. you should be able to squeeze 10's out of it. That puts me in goal range with this motor and a good size shot.

My stroker is not a high rpm motor. Peak on the dyno is 6000 rpm, and shift points are best around 200 past peak. My 1-2 shift is happening at 6150 and the 2-3 shift is at 6170. Trap rpm is right at 6200.

We played around one day in Georgia when I first put the motor in (hadn't been to the dyno yet)... changing shift points by 100 rpm each run. After around 6150, I lost a tenth every time we went up 100 rpm. Took it to 6700 rpm and ran 11.9, then set back near 6200 and started running at 11.40 ET again. Once I got the motor tuned about a month later, I dropped to a 11.17 and a 11.18 ET (ran on different days).

Oh, wow. That makes sense. I just thought a stroker lsx would love rmp like a stock stroke motor would. All setups are different. Maybe you can bring it to mexico and run it in -5000 da, ha ha!

No, it didn't make any difference on the dyno with my converter.

Yeah if I could just bring some dry 42 degree air with me to go with -5000 DA.
