Put some production into the new best on Valentine's day lol. Truck was a beast all day, 4 passes and was doing some work on 23-24psi, no nitrous.

Now the bad news is on this otherwise great good day was I under jetted a nitrous pass (didn't factor in my maxed fuel system and pressure drop for the nitrous fuel jet. 1-2nd gears were ok, but third she touch a 12.1 airfuel (24psi+50ish shot) and pushed/melted driver side gasket and some of the head. Block/Piston looks good, so I got a new stock 317 head and gasket coming this week. She'll be back soon.

Thats a solid consistent setup there foose. Good thing that the engine damage was minimal. That music though.......................who sings it lol.

 

Like the truck, consider it a real street truck even tho i dont like to see it trailered, seeing it run that fast there is only one question that pops up in my head. how are you ever going to go race anywhere else with no cage...lol?

Ahhhhh thats some old school Michael Bolton right there.. lol I have to mix it from time to time on these video's, it was on Valentines day.... can't always have angry music jammin.... or can I.. lol.


I said it before with goals, but I think a nice 9.5 slip will keep me happy for a bit. Half way to 8's is a pretty stout rig in my opinion.

 

You have to remember my 1/4 mile is 5 hour round trip drive.. Red went 4 years of racing with no trailer, I think she's earned a ride home now. Lol

As for tracks, only in the south where they don't post times. Up north there isn't a chance.

 

Great runs foose sorry about the engine. Make sure to check the ring lands and rings. Sometime the ring lands will lift up and rings shrink around piston even on the other too.
