Default 2wd vs 4wd

Which is a better setup for 1/4 mile drag racing?

well, i would have to say 2wd w/slicks for the track(less weight) and 4wd w/good tires for the street for some bad *** launches.

2wd if it will hook, but 4hi seems to hook really well.

I pull 1.9 60ft times on street tires no burnout required. Strip or street. I've smoked many cars on the street stoplight to stoplight that should hand me my tail at the strip. 2wd with slicks/traction will be faster at the track because of less weight and parasitic drivetrain losses.

4wd launch + shift into 2wd.

I did about 50 races at the sand dunes like this with another 4x4 truck i was dead even with. You could always tell when the other guy shifted into 2wd. they would start pulling harder or stop your pull. I have some videos too!
