Cool man. You will be in the 8's easy after a tune. I bet mid 8's wouldn't be out of the question with traction. I am hoping the headers and a converter will help out a bunch. We shall see. Would really like to get an 8 second flat without having to tear into the motor.

I will have to check Kennedale out sometime. I had heard it was more of a grude race, biker, redneck track but maybe it has gotten better? I normally go to Ennis but they dont have near the test n tune events of the other tracks. I like North Star because their test n tune is on a Saturday which works out best for my schedule and it is the colsest track to me.

My truck went 9.47 on 93 octane. I had 0 traction in 1st gear and could only leave off idle. So this post makes me feel better.

I think an 8 flat will need a cam too IMO.
Sundays are a great time to go. Friday night is kinda rough as you described but still safe. Yellow Belly Raceway...not so sure lol!

Yeah I'm 2wd. I think with some tires and E85 I would be in the 8s. A tuNE is in my near future!

9.148 is my best. Drag radials, Caltracs, DA rear shocks, tune, E85.

A fix for the 1-2 shift would get me there.

I totally agree because you've got to be lighter than me! BTW I weighed it. My race weight was 5050 with a 1/4 tank of E85.

Agreed! That shift is ridiculous!!! What were the conditions? Mine was pretty darn good. 65 degrees and DA 1333.

Great I'd love to meet you!

Yeah I would've given a lot for a 6.2 in this truck but I wanted a RC to kind of duplicate my 07 that I had for my DD. I sure do love the gas mileage of the 5.3 though. I've about decided on a 2.9 Whipple and a small cam for my fairly near future.

Nice times, Not bad at all. I will be messing with mine soon and see what I can get it to run. I did a half *** tune on my friends 14 silverado and he ran a 13.6 with no traction on first gear. His MPH was 100
