A friend built it..now I'm wondering if the short version of the filter was installed. I am going to have to pull the pan.

If this doesn't get resolved, I'm sending it to Jersy...Tomthecarguy. Very experienced in these tranny's

hey pittman go get a 4l80e from the junk yard order the kit off ebay with the red cluthes and blue steels. Then bring it up here and the guy that built mine will build it for $350 can't beat it.

What kind of price are you seeing out there ??

 

I got mine from a salvage yard for 850.00. It had about 25k miles on it. I put almost 125k more on it before it started slipping in 2nd some. I had it rebuilt to stock specs by a friend. The only thing I changed was adding a shift kit and vacuum mod.

 

That may be my direction

 

got mine for $500 with i think 100k on it. My converter snout was to long when theysent it and messed the pump up bought a $250 kit off ebay.
