Update guys, I got the 1 7/8 headers, mufflex muffler. I installed the catch can, and Arrington 85mm TB already. Now for the kicker. I had on order a Bwoody cai. I really wanted it but the hurricane hit the facility were they make the piping for the kits. 2.5 weeks ago I was told 6 week wait. I was fine with that. So i called to see if anything had changed and they said it would be probley another 7 weeks before I would get it! So i just cancelled the order. I was bummed and its not their fault but wailting 10+ weeks for a cai is stupid.

So I ended up getting a AFE full metal power intake. Lil cheaper looks nice. Not expecting much from any cai kit. Here it is
Cold Air Intake System FULL METAL Power aFe Power FULL METAL Power Stage 2 Air Intake System; Pro DRY S; Dodge RAM Trucks 09-11 V8-5.7L HEMI F2-02001 - aFe Power

can some eleaborate whats up with the throttle body in these trucks? I can ease into the throttle and once it hit 4000rpm the tack rockets the truck definatly pulls MUCH harder then it shifts! Is the computer holding the throttle body back or is that torque management or a combination of everything? A computer tune and bolt ons is really gonna wake this truck up

Installed the AFE intake today. I think the 85mm really needed a CAI!! Much lower growl to the motor and snappier throttle response. Im not a convinced CAI person, but this motor really needs one! Im very happy with it!

i had a 2.0 60' and it netted me a 14.007 1/4, so the calculations are right on, considering the 60

Have you had it to an actual track yet?

The 545rfe transmissions aren't very strong. Get even close to 400 to the wheels and you're on borrowed time.

Make sure you use the autostick when racing so it hits 2nd prime(a gear to fill the huge gap between 2nd and 3rd gear. If you miss it it will cost you a few tenths.

Here's my 09 R/T at the track. Weather was good, DA was 0. No performance mods at the time, full weight. Ran a couple 13.7s, was 13.7-13.9 all day. 13.75 @ 99.8 was the quickest/fastest.

The gap between 2nd and 3rd on the 545rfe is huge, so there's a short gear in between called 2nd prime. If you leave it in drive, the truck will shift from 2nd to 3rd. If you shift manually, you'll hit 2nd prime right after 2nd(indicator will say 3rd,but the revs will only drop about 300 RPMs. Doesn't seem like much, but it'll give you a few tenths in the 1/4.
