Been around a while. Just picked up a 98 Dakots 318 5spd as a beater. Hopefully it gets better milage than my 00 Z71. Anyway long story short, it has a couple of issues. The only two I can think of off hand that I havent fixed yet is. The cat has been removed. how can I get the CEL to go off, and the tranny occasionally pops out of 4th. No biggie, more worried about the CEl right now. If yall dodge peeps are anything like us Chevy peeps, Im sure I can get a solution

And before anyone mentions, I AM NOT REPLACING THE CAT

One last thing, I want a set of cheap LT headers, whats my options?

Does somebody make defoulers for it? Its essentially something that plugs into the sensor and tells it the cat is there to keep it running normally. Not sure where to get one for a Dak.

go to autozone in the help section they have "sparkplug defoulers" they come in a pack of two you screw one into the o2 bung in the exhaust stuff it with some steel wool, drill out the hole on the other and screw it into the other one and then screw your 02 sensor into it. it keeps enough exhaust away from the sensor to fool it

you shouldn't need and "Defoulers" or anything like that just take the post O2 sensor and zip tie it to the frame rail and reset the light and it should stay off.

As far as headers go the is nothing cheap for the magnum motors. for a good set it is like 700 to 1000 dollars
