Default just brought home the new ram

well boys, it was a great night for me tonight, i just brought home me 2004 hemi ram quad cab. i was wondering what kind of gains the superchips would get me and what kind of mods i could do without voiding my warranty. any kind of feedback would be great.

thanks, ben

Congrats, they are a fun vehicle!
The SC or Hypertech programmer is the best mod I ever did on mine. It won't void the warranty and is a must for any other performance upgrade ( speed density for Dodge, no MAF ) so the computer does not over-write the initial gains.
From there a CAI and maybe headers.

On my truck I saw these gains at the track for each mod. But mine is an 03 and the Superchips programmer on the 03's is not as potent as it is on the 04+'s. Oh and my track elevation is 2200ft so all those gains are slightly slower then a person would see at sea level.

Superchips 2/10th's
Headers 3/10th's
Exhaust 1/10th
CAI 1/10th
6.1L CAM rumored 3/10th's
Ported Headers rumored 2-3/10th's
2800 stall converter with slicks rumored 5/10th's

I am just waiting for the rain to go away (raining 2 weeks straight now) and I will test the cam out. I have an edge 2800 converter on the way and some slicks sitting here so I can test those out too later this summer.

Don't get the Hypertech for your 04, I had one and it didn't do a hell of a lot, the 03's have better luck. Get the Superchips #3815 for your truck, it makes a very big difference. It lowered my 0-60 time by almost .5 seconds, .48 if I remember right. It should be your #1 mod. Then a GOOD CAI, then exhaust if you want more noise. The stock exhaust system is very good, just not loud. The stock intake is also very good but some gains can be made there, not so much with the exhaust. DTW had an article on their main page, they installed an AEM Brute Force intake and a Flowmaster catback on an 04 Hemi Ram. The intake gained 7 hp, the exhaust only gain 2 hp. The stock stuff is pretty good so don't expect a big gain.

I would deffinently go with the SC, CAI, and exhaust! They all work well hand in hand!
