injectors for dodge guys.
just thought i'd let you guys know that if you making power on a hemi motor and want injectors, its cheaper to just find some ls2 aftermarket injectors. you look up dodge hemi injectors and its almost impossible to find. but if you look up ls2 injectors you can find high flow ls2 injectors all day long. the plug and length are the same.

if i rem correctly people were using srt-4 and some ford injectors for the next step up, u sure ls2's are gonna work?
|
yep they us the uscar connector. we called a manufactor of injectors and they verified it for us today. so we got some 39lbhr ls2 style injectors.

When we started modding the Hemi's 4+ years ago we were using the Ford Cobra(Blue) 39# injectors on F/I applications then switched to the SRT-4 injectors. On N/A applications we used the SRT-8 injectors because there was no tuning so you couldn't go to big on injectors. I had some custom sets made for the guys that went to stroked 370, 383, 392 & 426 Hemi's. Again in the early days you could not just pop in bigger injectors because there was no tuning like EFI Live or HP Tunners on the Chevy's. Even now tuning is not as good as the LS engines.
The LS2 and LS7 injectors work too as they have the same EV-6(USCAR) connector but don't go to big. The stock 5.7 Hemi's come with 30# injectors at 58 PSI and the 6.1(SRT-8) Hemi's come with 35#s. I have many sets from the stock size to 40 lbs/hr and up to 72 lbs/hr. I also have some used Stage 0 SRT-4 injectors that flow 50 lb/hr at 58 PSI if interested. |
What are the stage 1 SRT-4 injectors rated at again.? (light blue)
|
we were told the 6.1's were 30lbs. hptuners is about to release hopefully. KRC said he could tune for them. we went ls2 aftermarket injectors that flow 39lb at 43.5. this is for a 397 stroker.

Here are the ratings from Mopar: Fuel Pressure_______________43.5 PSI____________58PSI Stage 0 / Stock '03_________456cc/min__________527cc/min Stage 1 / Stock '04_________499cc/min__________577cc/min Stage 2 __________________590cc/min__________682cc/min Stage 3 __________________622cc/min__________719cc/min* The stage 3 injectors are the same as the stage 2 but with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. If you divide the cc/min by 10.5 you get lbs/hr.

BTW, the Ford Cobra(Blue Giants) injectors are rated 39 lbs/hr at 39.15 PSI but actually flow close to 42#'s or 50#'s in our trucks. I have a built 392 Hemi(late model stroked 6.1L) but need to find something to put it in, lol. |
i don't think these 39er's are ford injectors. maybe they are but they are made by some weird named company. i'll get the name from the guy. they are a touch shorter than regular long injectors. either way you go with changing injectors they have to be tuned so we figured we would get what was actually needed and not go with something that will be at 90+% duty cycle.
what is the stroke on a 6.1 392 motor? cause the bore on your motor is already bigger than on the 5.7 and the 4.080 crank with stoke 5.7 bore is 392. we are going .030 over i believe which gives us the 397. |
