not much of an update... but i did a quick little mod job on on the factory upper radiator hold down brackets to keep them from rubbing on the the radiator, and to make them look a little better by cutting off the fan shroud mounts

and i also picked up another needed part (obd 2 port) so i can be that much closer for having everything i need for the "LS"/vortec 5.3 swap

Hey man if you do a swap it's a lot easier to buy the wiring as a whole kit stand alone than to do a stock harness. If you go the stock route make sure it's for the same year motor and transmission as you buy. Make sure you get a complete engine also. Starter, alternator water pump everything.
A starter is $400.00, and a water pump is another $200.00 from the parts stores. Just a heads up for you.

I also got a guy that i may have mod my harness for me cheaper than one of the aftermarket ones.

stupid bandwidth exceeded for the month... guess if anyone want to see pics before next month, they will have to just click on the pic/link. lol
Hosed these off and out... then did a quick spray job on them. They are a little rusty and beat up, but they are only temporary for now, until I get some new ones, and they were free, so that's ok. now I just need some angle iron to make the floor mounts from, so I can make a mount them in the back passenger side corner by the tailgate/quarter glass.

UPDATES!!! lol.
Jerry can rack built. Just needs a half *** paint job, and mounted now...

Half *** paint job done... now it just needs mounted, and the jerry cans strapped in

SloshTubz out of the box for the second, and last time since september of 2012. Lol

One down, one to go

picked up a new battery too. Heck yes. Lol. Pretty good warranty as well

And the other one is in...

Working on a new battery tray (almost done) just need a few more brackets to bolt it to the core support... its gonna be a super tight fit, but it will work. May just leave it their permanently, and make a battery cover too.

And it fits... barely. Lol

All done... crammed in their and the hood closes without hitting the battery, which is a good thing too.

Jerry can mount done, and bolted in... just need to strap the cans in/down now. ended up using some bungee cords for that

And finally got the passengers side mirror painted... now they both match

then i got to do some video recording for a tv show (Wheeler Dealers, on velocity channel) last Sunday (the 7th). so me and my suburban will appear/air on tv in about 8 months... here are some pics of that me and a friend of mine took throughout the day. have some videos he took. just need to figure out how to get them onto my computer from his phone. lol.
