Ok, i have a plan and need some advice, i know a bunch of you have already installed LSX style engines in Classic trucks, so i hope you can help me out. I recently ran across a 2005 chevy express van. It has the 5.3 in it, With AWD!!! I was wondering how hard it would be to drop a 67 C10 LWB Cab and bed on that frame. I know i have to shorten the frame 8" to match the wheel base. My question is should i do that, or just do a motor swap and scrap the AWD set up, or do the body swap, and have a AWD 67 chevy.

IMO, I think the AWD setup would be awesome, and definitely different. You'd have a more modern, better handling setup with a classic truck. I wouldn't know exactly how to do it, but I'd be interested to see how you would do it.
for an AWD '67 Chevy.
