got a 1968 c-10
 

I just got ahold of a 68' c-10, I want to know what ya'lls opinion is, it will definately be getting a gen3 transplant, but im undecided with going either 4l60e or t56? what would be easier? it will see the track a few times but not alot, I just want to have a nice truck, but reliable and have the get go when needed..:devil:

by the way who sells the wiring harness? and about how much do they run $?

i would want a T-56 since it is just a weekend truck, and not going to be a drag only setup. more fun to drive IMO, and less drivetrain loss.

what trans does the truck have now? it will probably be easier to keep the same style trans that it has now, either auto or manual

I used a harness from painless, that was one of the only ones available at that time a few years ago. I got it from pace. Speartec is one that most will mention but there are others that will make you one, Nelson does also. The auto would be the easiest I would think but the t56 would be more fun. I may eventually swap mine over but for now the auto works just fine.
