I just found this today. Nice work guys! I have a 95 K1500 I was thinking about putting the 6.0 in when I pull it. Mine is used alot for a work truck so it is nowhere as clean as your fathers.

Hey Thanks! A 6.0L would be great in a work truck!

We have gotten a lot of little things done in the last week. Fuel lines are ready to go, radiator is in, fans are secured. Will spend some time saturday finishing wires, and hope to have it pop off and running. I'll upload some pics one night this week.

Well with the down turn in the economy, I find my self with a little more time. BIG Yellow laid me off for a bit. So I'll have more garage time. Over the past week we worked out a lot of little things. Fuel lines, steam vent, heater hoses, radiator/fan tie downs.

Here are a few pics. I am sure more to come this week as I work in the garage.

PCM mounted to the battery tray.

If this thread isn't stickied yet, then it needs to be. And saved in case this places goes down.

Great step by step, great pictures, and great work. It looks better than factory. If it isn't too much trouble, could you make it even better by adding in part numbers and such for those (like me in the future) who might want to duplicate this swap?

Are those 05 efans? If they are, what radiator are you using to make it work?

Keep up the great work, and I'm looking forward to the updates.

Thanks for the kind words. The radiator is the OE 95 radiator, and yes those are 05 fans. Just had to do a little notch work with an air saw and cut off wheel, along with making some tabs to hold the fans in place. Still not done with that work.

I'll work up a PN list once its all done.
