coolant leak

Default coolant leak

if any one has experienced this ,i would appericate input, i have 1994 Chevy k1500 350 sm blk ,have coolant leak behind engine near the distributor ,no water in oil , so i dont believe its head gasket

I had the issue on my 90 with the aluminum fitting at the back of the intake manifold passenger side.
Is that we're yours is coming from?

I just drilled mine out and tapped some threads into it so I could screw in a nipple and no longer used the fancy gm hoses.

Sounds like an intake gasket to me. A pressure test with a mirror would probably pin point it fairly quick.

I know the vortecs are common for it. Mine was leaking the same spot. But not too familiar with the. Tbi motors. But I wouldn't rule out the intake gasket

While I'm sure you are correct that there are other threads on this common issue with the early throttle body engines....

I don't see what P0300 and the thread you linked to about misfire condition has to do with an intake coolant leak.
