Converting a 1990 Chevy 1/2 ton Instrument cluster to a 1993

:bang: A guy on E-Bay says that there is a wiring conversion for installing a 1993 Instrument cluster into a 1990 Chevy truck (I hate that cluster) and when I asked for it he said it could be found on the net. So far Im in Dire Straits. Can anyone help?

You want to get a 1991 cluster, because it has the same type of connector as the 1990. The 1993 truck's connector is reversed (male instead of female or vice versa - it's been awhile since I looked at it). If you use the 1993 style cluster, you will have to cut the harness from a 1993 truck & solder it into your dash.

I had a 1990 4x4 & I just added the tach wire & plugged in a 1991 cluster. I think I had to move one or two wires also. It was a very simple swap.
