Smile this 98 needs some motor/trans upgrades

98 silverado. has the 350 with the 4l60e behind it and a open end 10 bolt. plans are to make it much, much more reliable. built. and capable of carving corners and of course going fast with towing capabilities. first question is about the motor. I want to either go for a crate or rebuild. my motor is a 2 bolt main. i also plan on forced induction. either f1 procharger or the d1sc. so do i go for a splayed 4 bolt main or just a straight 4 bolt? is there a crate motor that you guys know of that would be perfect for me? im going to stay fuel injected since this will be my daily driver hehe. i know its much more expensive but i live in a place where emissions are regulated
now. i was thinking about a stroked short block from gmpp. i dont know anything yet about heads. i know when going with forced induction i want lower compression but i dont know anything about cc size chambers giving this and that. hehe thats another language im trying to learn. if going with a short block. what heads would you recommend?
next thing would be cam. that is a huge area i cant answer for myself. i was looking at comp cams forced induction cams. but no idea what one.
transmission. i dont mind building one. ive done it in trans class. but. what one to get. it will be electronic so 4l60e family? 4l80e? ive talked to some shops, and the 4l60e can be built to hold 600hp/tq with ease. but. what trans to look for. and for the rear end it will most likely be a 14 bolt rear since they are cheap, and bolt right in and usually come with a posi. plus i gotta stand up to my chevy tat. and stay chevy. my friends who are all ford say the 9 inch is better but i dont mix my truck with ferd. lol. i know this is a lot of stuff to read. and i have some time. every day i research what to do. i think ive logged 40 hours so far. i want to do this right. and when the drivetrain is all set. im doing the body work. since thats fun for me as well. thank you for any responses. any and all help is well appreciated and im open minded to anything. except ford parts lol.
