Default 89 chevy truck stepside

I have a 89 chevy truck 350 tbi bored 30 over with hypertetic pistons 9-8-1 compression, and 202 dart iron eagle heads, 2101 elderbrock intake, holley 670 tbi, crane cam emissions legal roller cam,and long tube headers, I also have have the b&m 700r4 trans with b&m holeshot coverter 2400 stall, 373 posi rear end, also I custom tuner chip by Motorvation.

I'm rebuilding the lower end since I have it apart I was thinking about putting a bigger cam cuz the one I have is not much bigger then specs of the stock roller im just not sure on how much is to much as far as lift and der cuz of lack of fuel and power from tbi. If enyone had eny ideas on a good range or cam ideas cuz I was think if all els fails I'll just switch to carb cuz it's already set up cuz of the intake.

Im pretty sure the springs on those heads are good to .500 lift. If you got the assembled ones. You really want to consider the lsa of any cam you want to run. 112-114 lsa is the neighborhood you want to stay in. Anything lower would be pretty difficult to tune, esp mail order.

Alot of people run the ZZ4 cam with nice results. Another one to look into the GM Hot cam. Crower also has some good grinds.

Talking about this stuff kinda makes me miss my 88 rcsb...
