I just flipped the axle to be on top of the springs. Lowered the rear quite a bit. I am going to use the sway bar plates i got from the junk yard as my spring plates and run a bar in the rear. It is a 1 1/18" bar. I also got a 1 1/4" bar from the junk yard as well and am excited to run this setup.

I destroyed my transmission after i swapped in a z06 cam. So that needs to get swapped soon. Will get pictures up soon

dude I'm loving that 8lug rear setup your running! That's exactly my plan as well. A little heavy on the unsprung weight but damn near bulletproof on the street!

Ya i was undecided about it at first but the more i look at it the more it grows on me. Plus the 4.10 gears didnt hurt. It also makes running a rear sway bar very easy. I still need to mount that then put up some pix.
After destroying my 10 bolt i figured i would go overkill with this rear.

So i dropped the truck down on its own weight and the tires were resting on the fenders. Not going to work. So i am going to flip my shackle like the 4wd guys do and allow me to bring it up a little and have better adjustability. Kind of a mistake but it will work out better in the long run.

I figured the axle.on top of the springs will have less axle wrap. But it was way too low and no adjustments. This way i can still tweak it. Plus with the axle flip my sway bar would have been below the scrub line.

My disc conversion brackets came in today....yay! Time to take the drums to the recycle yard to recoup some funds.
