454ss 14bolt questions
 

was curious if anyone has used one of these in a '80s c10. I was also curious if they were the same width and line up correctly. And did any of these come with disc brakes?

i dont know about using one in an older truck but none came with disk brakes. just take some measurements on the stock rearend and on the ss rearend and compare them

I didnt thank so, I need to find one first, hopefully the purch for the leaf spring is in the same spot

maybe someone on 454ss.com could help you out by taking some measurements

if you read atomics 14 bolt swap thread he mentioned the perch widths on them i believe.

The perches are wider on the 88 up trucks. The extra axle width makes the rear track width line up better than the original though. HTH Jay
