Default 1972 c 10 what I need to swap a 2003 SSR engine

I have a 03 5.3 from a ssr and im positive I have a 700 tranny
I know a i need the adapter for the tranny and flex plate or it will be easier with a 80e?
What about the harness I know I need to r tune the ecm
What parts I need for this swap im dropping a tr220 tsp cam and long tube headers new exhaust system and e-fans, ls6 intake the mounts I can make it at work

Any help on this please thanks guys.

Im more worry about what I really need to at least turn the engine on harness from.nelson maybe and what tranny will make it easier to work

id stay away from the 700r4. my stock one only lasted 2wks behind my 5.3. but i was treating it like a dog. you could get it done with a built 700r4. chances are it will go out again once more power. i would do a 4l80 to start with. plan on getting one once tax time comes around

you dont need an adapter to bolt up a 700 or a 80.

you just need the right flexplate or torque converter. neither of which are difficult to come by or install.

Wasn't sure about the 700 for the 4l80e I know I just need tge right flex plate thats what I did with my 5.3 swap but I was more worry about the harness was looking for something I can plug and play this is a full restoration im gonna get headers and a tr220 like I did with my truck.i have this guy who can make the harness deseable vats and r program the ecm for around 400 but not sure if he is legit need to figure out what I need to do with the fuel system too

4l80 or 4l60 is the way to go.

60e will need tondo something to handle at leas 400rwhp to be safe with a cam 80e will be ok...
I will try to get more info from this guy to see if his harness will work with no problems

Nothing wrong with the 700r4 if you set it up right. Pressures need to be set properly. Its the same trans as the 4l60e. Well pretty damn close. But if you have a 5.3 let the computer do the work and get a 60 or a 80. Gonna need to build the 60 or the 700 to handle that power. The 80 will hold out a little longer. I just think it is easier to power up the laptop and adjust everything.
