I know a i need the adapter for the tranny and flex plate or it will be easier with a 80e?
What about the harness I know I need to r tune the ecm
What parts I need for this swap im dropping a tr220 tsp cam and long tube headers new exhaust system and e-fans, ls6 intake the mounts I can make it at work
Any help on this please thanks guys.

id stay away from the 700r4. my stock one only lasted 2wks behind my 5.3. but i was treating it like a dog. you could get it done with a built 700r4. chances are it will go out again once more power. i would do a 4l80 to start with. plan on getting one once tax time comes around

Wasn't sure about the 700 for the 4l80e I know I just need tge right flex plate thats what I did with my 5.3 swap but I was more worry about the harness was looking for something I can plug and play this is a full restoration im gonna get headers and a tr220 like I did with my truck.i have this guy who can make the harness deseable vats and r program the ecm for around 400 but not sure if he is legit need to figure out what I need to do with the fuel system too

Nothing wrong with the 700r4 if you set it up right. Pressures need to be set properly. Its the same trans as the 4l60e. Well pretty damn close. But if you have a 5.3 let the computer do the work and get a 60 or a 80. Gonna need to build the 60 or the 700 to handle that power. The 80 will hold out a little longer. I just think it is easier to power up the laptop and adjust everything.
