That is what I put the hops in during the boil. This batch happen to have some coriander and bitter orange peel in there also (witbier). I had it pulled out to drain after I was done with the boil. Then I cranked it up and ran it through my plate chiller to get it cooled down and ready for the yeast.

Now when you say liquor are you talking moonshine? If that's what you mean that requires a still. Basically you use a sugar source which can come from grains or sugar itself and ferment it with yeast as you would a beer. Then that liquid is run through a still to remove water increasing the alcohol content. I've never done it and it's not exactly legal.
There are a few people who have various forms of 3 tiered stands around here. I'm pretty sure no one has one that operates like mine does or that is as easy to move.
