Cool. I sent a PM to Jsmith, in hopes of him creating a list. Like how Thunder550 did for their GTG in Houston. I asked him to number it 1-20 Who's Going to Milan on SAT. July 12th. And yes, truck or no truck, I plan on going. Hope for no rain.
If this event turns out more than 3 people we can try to do the same for other big Michigan GTG's. Be it the Zippy the following Sat. or whatever. W/ gas costing what it does, I sure don't want to, nor have others drive 3 hrs to find they are the only person who went to a given event. I'm trying to extend this as a courtesy to all MI racers & others can come from nearby states or whatever too.

Maybe Jsmith or a mod will help me w/ this. And/ or add the Zippy event in the same manner. A #'d list, track, & date. Ideas?

 

everyone going to the zippy event would likely be the biggest turn out, two events around the same time would likely be difficult for most

 

Ya, good point. Perhaps if I can figure how to get this list created we can create 1 list for the July 12 @ Milan event; another for the Zippy event. I, myself, don't know how to do that. After the event ends, the list would just fall by the wayside. A new one can be created for other events, maybe? I'm still trying to figure out how, that's why I asked Jsmith for help on this list ( or others).

 

i'll go anywhere. i know gas is not cheap but to do a MI get together it will be well worth it. i would love to meet everyone and run some trucks!!!!!


tom can you not make it to the zippy event? i mean it doesn't really make sence to have 2 get together a week apart. if we all just do the 19th which is a set in stone event the out come will be the same (meet everyone and run some trucks)

 

Lance, what is the name of the track @ Zippy's event? What time does it run from/ to? I can work on the 12th & still make it to Milan in ~1hr. That means I'd be there ~1:30 or 2pm. Enuff time to race & hang out. And a better chance of running my truck since I'm closer to home.
If I go to Zippy's event, it forces me to give up almost a full day's work. I'd hate to break down 3hrs from home. It complicates things workwise if I can't use my truck for work @ this point & time. That trans has me spooked & I have 1 last big bill I have to payoff before I call FLT. PM me if u like as to what time you'd go to Zippy's event. I might just ride w/ Keith or you if it's ok & I can get off from work. Odds are, if I go to other side of state, I might just ride. Which is a long hike if I do that, esp. after sitting in the sun all day there, & ridin back. Like I said, I'm only worried if my 60E . Otherwise, I don't care if I make my tires more bald. This would be a lot easier if I had a FLT already. Got 3g's u don't need?

:word: I told Mike before I was goign with him to his deal, and Im not going to break my truck the weekend before, so....

131 like Onyx said. I talked to Mike about it yesterday when I picked up my trans from him.


I gotta call Mike tomorrow anyway and I'll ask but is he going to 131 on Fri the 18th or Sat the 19th? I know he said they were doing a cruise thing the day after the dragstrip and going to craigs cruisers or something.
