dude that thing is scary, i cant believe his welds havent bring since he dont have many of them..with trays or whatever ya call em that the keg and pots stand on id like to stick angle iron on the 3 outside edges to keep stuff from fallin off that why i was needin to know the diameter of them .. that guy must be some kinda fruitloop to live across the street from a cemetary
As for the angle iron on the sides I think that might actually end up being more in the way than helping. Besides who wants to worry about safety anyway...

Man I hope getting this thing made works out. It will make my beer brewing much easier.
I just picked up a cheap old fridge today to control my fermenting temps.
I just hope the ugly old fridge actually works.

Well I didn't think I would be getting bigger pots anytime soon, but I just bought 2 empty 15.5 gallon kegs that are in Stillwater for cheap.
Tyler- Do you have access to a plasma cutter? I will need to cut the tops off of these and then fashion them in to lids...

I am currently making 5 gallon batches, which is about 2 cases, and costs range from ~$25 to $40 depending on the amount of ingredients needed for the recipe. I am working toward being able to make 10 gallon batches.
Basically if you like to drink the cheapo beer you probably won't be able to save much, but if you like to drink microbrews and imports (good beer) then yes it is cheaper.
I am also involved in a homebrewing club that meets once a month and we hang out and drink each others beer.
The club also has some other nice events like a picnic Octoberfest and Christmas party.

Anytime your free come on over and have some!
If I can remember I will fill a couple bottles and bring them over on a Saturday when you work. The homebrew supply store is over in that area so I could bring them by on the way to get supplies. I'm down to about 7-8 gallons so I really need to get some brewing done.
I'm working toward getting the extra equipment I need to be able to make 10 gallon batches.

yea ryan i gotta plasma cutter..the keg is aluminum aint it? parts of the stand could be made out of exhaust tubing but it will not have the strength...ive made stuff out it before, somethin like this being made out of exhaust tubing im worried about the weight bending it
