Help on a new project?
Thinking of ways to make my homebrewing a little easier. Here are some pictures of what I would like to build. If I am going to do this anytime soon I need to do it cheap. If anyone can help me get a hold of some cheap scrap metal and help out with the welding then I could see a few gallons of homebrew in that persons future. :chug:

whats the point of the crank!?

It is to raise the lower burner pad. This allows keeping the overall height of the stand shorter while still being able to get the lower pot high enough to fill the carboy using gravity, after the wort is boiled and cooled.

SPEAK ENGLISH MAN!!!...Makes sense...are you trying to say to make it adjustable so you can control how fast something boils away?...or heats up?

Truckmann, I came on here & expected a new mod to your truck or to say u picked up a S-10 to save on gas & wanna do a few mods or similiar. Man I love seeing what the Rednecks are doing.:jest: I'm sure since u offered free brew for help, you'll get some bites. Good luck.
Looks like u put some thought into your current setup. Add a small motor & steering wheel, & it's a Tim Allen episode( Home Improvemt). |
if you can get me all measurements or a diagram i can build that

Dustin If you notice the bottom burner pad is very close to the ground which doesn't leave room to drain the liquid out of it after it is cooled. So the crank is there to raise it. Short answer is that the purpose of the crank is to allow the stand to be fully functional and not be as tall as it would have to be without the crank. |

I just found the pictures so, I don't have any dimensions yet. I will have to get some measurements of my pots and come up with some dimensions. Currently I am making 5 gallon batches, but I would like to eventually be able to do 10 gallon batches so I need to get some measurements on bigger pots. I will do some looking and let you know. |
you get all the measurements i need and possible if you can get me some 10 gallon pots that way i have them to when i build it i can..if you can get them ill meet ya at mcdonalds on cimarron turnpike
