I'm really looking to cam and stall my 08 5.3l silverado. Before I spend all the money, I would like to see and possibly ride in a similar truck with the cam and stall to see how driveability is impacted. I'm only used to manual transmissions so this automatic scene is new to me.

 

get the comp XR269HR or the XR265HR ... you'll notice no real change under 3k rpm and then all of a sudden it runs like a whole new truck. I'm 2 hours north of you, but I'm in a NBS, 5.3, and I've got a stall converter, but you don't really need one with either of those cams.
