Truck only starts when it wants to. HELP!!
#11
I removed the starter, removed the crank sensor, opened the box that the new one was in, and son of a bitch, wrong one. No idea why but when you search for my year, make, model, engine it gives you one sensor but the one I need is different. When you search for the vehicles that match the one I need, it shows my vehicle

Of course the parts store didn't have the correct one in stock. So, I went home, cleaned everything up, put it back together, turned the key, and the ****** started, lol.
No complaints from me as long as it keeps starting. wow, long day.

haha, what's happenin man. It's a beast. I love it. Pretty sure the not starting issue is related to the factory security system. Not positive.
Oh by the way, the truck is SOLD.
I'm completely losing my *** on the sale but I'm over it.

I know you're over it and all but for the record I'm pretty sure it was your ignition control module. Did you by chance notice any funky stuff going on with your tach when it first started or when shutting it off, if so that's an almost sure sign.
