Default Tire help

So I just decided to get out of the stock tires and leave the 18s on for now. I do, however, want a better tire. The stock ones are garbage and was hoping to get a tire with a little more grip and slightly more rubber surface on the road. Stock tire is 265/70-18. Was thinking of a 275/70-18, and whatever tire is recommended. Wont be hauling more than 5,000lbs, but do lots of highway driving, so although I would like something aggressive, nothing off road please.

Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.

I wanted all the same things as you, and the tire salesman sold me these. Don't they look like highway tires in the pics? They are Uniroyal Cross Country LT285/75 16. They remind me of riding a motocross bike on pavement. They don't grip. Wouldn't you think 285s would hook on takeoff better than 245s? Nope, they spin more easily. My steering wheel wobbles in gentle bends in the highway. When I push it a little in corners is where it feels like the ***** on a motocross tire rolling over. Maybe they'll be better in the snow than my old tires, or maybe in the dirt, but my salesman was an *** wipe to sell me these. Thanks for giving me a place to recommend against these tires.

I'll keep that in mind. I think I read a couple places recommending those in my google searches.
